You’ll find over 20 tutorials and ideas to keeping your sewing room organized. From pin cushions to scissors holders to fabric bags. Each project will help you keep your notions and supplies where they should be and not hidden.
Little things make a big difference when it comes to your creative space. I have found that the more useful things I have in my sewing studio, the better. If that means that I have 5 pincushions that I love and use all the time….than that means I have 5.
Other than the pincushions, I find that fabric storage buckets, clear bags so I can toss a whole project inside– see what it is, and find all the parts easily, come in real handy. There are a few travel sewing kits hanging around too…..just in case I need to grab a project as I’m walking out the door, knowing that I will have a good amount of time to work on something.
After digging around for a bit, I have come up with quite a collection of sewing room ideas that could help you out in your sewing studio.

I”m a gadget gal I have to admit! But there are all sorts of cool containers that can be repurposed! The scrapbook section in stores has a multitude of boxes, bins etc just perfect for quilting stuff. Clear plastic “bacon keeper” – perfect for small pieces as you cut them! Tins from Christmas candies perfect for binding clips etc. And the lids from those tins – chocolates, candies (mine currently loaded with leftover Easter eggs) 🙂
