I am a sucker for awesome pincushions. I have quite a little selection. Some of them I’ve made, some are free pincushion patterns. I’m not big into complicated patterns. Simple ones will do.
If you are like me, you’ll enjoy a quick little link list of a few I’ve made in the past and others I have found that are totally fun and awesome as well.
Some of my favorite pincushions are made from recycled materials– like the wool embroidery, felted wool, or using little glass items found at a yard sale or thrift store down the street. The idea of taking someone else’s once favorite thing and make it into your own favorite thing is a lot of fun.
For most of my pin cushions I use crushed walnuts. It’s my favorite. Lately I have been using my favorite yummy essential oil to make them smell good too. You should give it a try.

Love your blogs and tips!
Here’s one passed along to me from my mama…
Stuff pincushion with some steel wool along
With stuffing. This keeps pins and needles
Sharp!
