
Grab two squares and let’s sew up a super simple and cute quilt block! The disappearing pinwheel starts off as a pinwheel and then with some shuffling and cutting, it becomes a double pinwheel (with a pinwheel in the center).
Materials Needed:
- 2 squares that are equal in size
- I used two squares that are 10″ x 10″ one background, one color / print fabric

Disappearing Pinwheel Quilt Block – Arrow
1. Lay right sides together the two squares.
2. Sew around ALL FOUR sides 1/4″ seam

3. Using a ruler, cut from corner to corner – repeat with other opposite corners

4. Open and press the four half square triangles

5. Sew the pinwheel together and press

6. Using your ruler, line up the outside edge to 4″ on the ruler and cut

7. Rotate the block (or the cutting mat to keep things straight), and cut 4″ from the edge on ALL four sides


8. Square up the each of the blocks to 4″ x 4″

9. Lay the block out and sew together
