Round Robin #3 Row 6 By Robin Quilts
Today Robin is sharing with us row 6 for the Round Robin #3

She has come up with a great addition to the row quilt–

Don’t forget– register for free– then post your photos in the gallery.
I love the rickrack look. And I picked up some more background so I can get this one done now! How about you? It is my goal to catch them all up this week!
I am not sure what the issue is girls– why isn’t there anyone sewing along with us? Are we all by ourselves on this one? Should I just keep all the giveaways for myself? I know it’s summer and everyone is hustling around for their last hoorah before school starts– or did you all get kidnapped by aliens? Am i the only one left? hello? hee hee
Well, apparently everyone will run over and post all at the same time and overload the site… {i would be ok with that} or you are into the lottery thing….one big winner. not sure.
What I have done is had Eliza pick two numbers from 1-9 {because sadly enough that is all the photos posted}
she came up with WINNERS–
Row 5 Winner
purpledaylily and Joy!!
They have won: a pattern provided by JOY and 3 patterns by me! congrats girls-

Mistakes To Avoid On Row 6
1. Uneven Seams & Misaligned Rows
Inconsistent seam allowances can cause rows to be uneven. Always use a ¼” seam allowance and measure your row before attaching it.
2. Clashing Fabrics & Colors
Using fabrics that don’t blend well with previous rows can disrupt the quilt’s flow. Stick to a cohesive color palette and test fabric choices before sewing.
3. Not Checking Measurements
Adding a row that’s too long or too short can throw off the entire quilt. Measure twice before cutting or sewing to ensure a perfect fit.
4. Fabric Stretching & Warping
Bias-cut fabrics can stretch and cause wonky edges. Handle fabric gently, use starch for stability, and avoid excessive ironing that may distort the shape.
5. Skipping Pressing Between Steps
Pressing seams as you sew helps with accuracy and prevents bulky intersections. Take the time to press each seam for a smooth, professional finish.
