The End Of Round Robin #2 Is Here!!
Just wanted to give a quick– HELLO to the newest crafty girls popping in! There were quite a few of you yesterday! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look around. Please feel free to sew along with anything going on here– Sewing with others is always more productive!

Getting on with business. Do you remember this?
Well, I do!!! Never fear, I didn’t forget. I was just waiting for someone to post a photo.
It was like Ferris Bueller “anyone? anyone?”
So, apparently MEZCAT is the only one who is sewing!!
And she loves prized girls, so as to not disappoint… she has won another one! WEEHAH!
Yup. That’s right, you missed it. All you had to do was post your progress and you didn’t. Maybe next time.

Until then – Let’s look at what her progress is:

And. So, as to not disappoint all of you who are anxious at getting the complete copy of the Patchwork Round Robin 2 I have put them all together in one pdf file. How about that?! Be aware that each of these borders were made by different people, so the pattern doesn’t have a consistent layout….but, it still works! This is actually a great pattern for beginners. The borders are very adjustable and will take in any mistakes, miscalculations or cutting you make! Sometimes that is just nice to know, isn’t it?
I seriously love these quilts– they have been such fun to start, design and progress along with you! There will of course be another one starting sometime this year…..in a bit. {still working on that main page for the workshops!} This time though there will be an additional twist. I’m thinking ROWS. How about that?

How about looking at the 1st Round Robin ~ very different from the 2nd. That is what I love. Each has their own little character to them, don’t they?
[Materials Needed]
- Fabric: Coordinating fabric and optional scraps
- Tools: Rotary cutter, cutting mat, ruler, sewing machine
- Thread: Matching or contrasting
- Extras: Pins, iron, marking tools (optional)
~ Common Mistakes to Avoid ~
1. Uneven or Wavy Borders – Measure carefully before adding borders to keep edges straight and prevent distortion.
2. Mismatched Seams – Pin seams before sewing to ensure alignment and a professional finish.
3. Fabric Stretching – Handle bias edges gently and press (don’t iron) to avoid warping.
4. Inconsistent Quilting – Plan quilting designs evenly across the quilt to maintain balance and avoid puckering.
5. Skipping the Final Pressing – A good press before quilting helps set seams and gives a polished look to the final quilt.

And, just in case you are enamored by it’s charm.
Still working on a few of those new patterns— COMING SOON!
