~ Border #2 Is Here!!! Molly Designed It For Us ~

UPDATE*** I had to add a 2 1/2″ strip to each side of the finished border to make it the 25 1/2 ” length.
I didn’t add the bird in the center of the border {was optional}. I think I will wait until the next set goes on and then we’ll see if I like them or not…couldn’t make up my mind!
Just in case~ Click here for some bird images for you to use

Here’s a bit about miss Molly!!
Hi there, I’m Molly Culley of Molly’s Cottage! I’m so happy to submit a design for a border for this of-so-cute quilt! I’m a mama of two children, and my husband is in the U.S. Army. We just relocated to Ft. Rucker, Alabama so he can attend helicopter flight training.
I love designing; it is such a fun, creative outlet. I’ve been sewing since I was little, but took up quilting about two years ago, and haven’t looked back! I enjoy making quilts for gifts… I always find I think about the recipient of the quilt while I’m working, which is a nice way to put a little of yourself into the gift. Come check out my blog at www.mollyscottage.blogspot.com to see what else I’m working on! Also, a HUGE thanks to Becky for giving us such a fun opportunity to showcase our designs, and make something gorgeous together! 🙂

[Materials Needed For Border #2]
- Fabric: Coordinating fabric and optional scraps
- Tools: Rotary cutter, cutting mat, ruler, sewing machine
- Thread: Matching or contrasting
- Extras: Pins, iron, marking tools (optional)

Tips for Choosing Colors and Fabrics
- Coordinate with Existing Colors: Pull colors from the center block and previous borders for a cohesive design.
- Add Contrast: Use lighter or darker tones to make Border #2 stand out and frame your quilt beautifully.
- Audition Fabrics: Lay out your options next to the quilt to see how they look together before committing.
These simple tips will help Border #2 shine while complementing the rest of your quilt!
