This year has been an awesome one for members of Patchworkers Plus (I may say that every year). But it really has been! Let’s take a look at who we had as guest designers, what projects and quilts we sewed (and finished) and all the little bits in between.
I am so lucky to be surrounded by other quilters just like me. Quilters with piles of projects, piles of fabulous fabric and great intentions. Some things get finished.. and some just wait in the pile somewhat patiently until they are up on the ‘next’ list.
Every year I really try hard to put together a year long plan for members of PW+ that will inspire them. Everything is done virtually, which at times can be challenging – but we have the best time.
It has been such an incredible honor to hold a space for any quilter ready for friendship, connection, sewing days, swaps and learning.
Over the year we have had a wonderful time sewing:
- Hidden Gems BOM
- Pink Lemonade charity quilt
- Spring Swap – table runners
- Escape from Stash Mountain Challenge
- Summer Swap – birthday cards
- Guest- Megan
- Guest – Liela
- Guest – Deonn
- Crosswind Mystery quilt along
- Fall Swap – cozy mug rugs
Let’s take a look at the 2025 Block of the Month- Hidden Gems

We explore a little bit outside the traditional with a paper pieced block. This helped us keep precise on those four corners of the quilt top. It was a great block to test your toes into trying the technique if this was your first time.
Other blocks – like the Sunbonnet Sue was a quick lesson on using applique. I use fusible with a little raw edge quilting on the outside to secure. I’m not a needle turn technique person, but that could be done if you had chosen.
The center block is the friendship star – representing all the friendships we have in the membership.
The blocks were set on point. Which is a lot of fun to do to mix up the usual sampler style quilt layout.
In addition to the Block of the Month – we also had a bonus quilt added to the pattern library, Pink Lemonade.

This quilt is such an easy one to sew together! Featuring a simple four patch and half square triangles – with a super scrappy border. The sashing and corner stones helps keep all those blocks the same size and allows you to not have to pay attention too much to matching up seams of the four patch units.
I believe this is a jacob’s ladder quilt block. It’s perfect for any level of quilter – because you are testing out your HST and trimming and 1/4″ seams with the four patch.
Plus, with the scrappy border, you can use up a bunch of your leftover cut-offs.
Sewing is not everything we do in PW+. We also have guest workshops! These are perfect for allowing quilters to explore a new technique or a new designer from the industry without leaving the home. Replays are also available to watch at your own time if the workshop day didn’t work for your schedule.
Check out what designers came this year:
Megan – Love Sew Modern

Join Erin Grogan of Love Sew Modern for an inspiring lecture designed to help you discover your unique voice as a quilter. Many talented quilters find themselves unsure of their personal style, often relying on kits or trending fabrics. While these approaches can be fulfilling, this seminar is perfect for those seeking to grow and evolve creatively.
Erin will guide you through the four stages of a quilter’s journey and share her personal process for finding a color palette that truly reflects who you are. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to deepen your artistic connection to quilting, this lecture will provide the tools and inspiration to help you explore your individuality and express it through your craft. Don’t miss this opportunity to take your quilting to the next level!
This was such a fabulous way to start the year with a chat about fabric and colors.
Leila – Leila Gardunia

Leila will show us how to transform fabric scraps into stunning, precise quilt blocks. Her stash-busting approach is perfect for quilters of all levels, and you’ll leave inspired -and ready to dive into your scrap bin!
Deonn- Quiltscapes

Ready to give your quilts a picture-perfect finish? Quilt designer and teacher Deonn Stott of Quiltscapes will walk you through tips and techniques from her brand-new book, Ultimate Binding and Edge Finishing Guide.
Learn how to tame those tricky corners, try creative binding ideas, and give your quilts a polished, professional edge. You’ll leave ready to tackle your next finish with confidence!
Every fall I also host the ever popular – Mystery Quilt Along!! This is seriously sooo exciting for me. It runs around 6-8 weeks and every week there are two steps to sew. By the end you’ll be ready to put the mystery together.
This year I did a live reveal. So before the reveal went up in the community, we met together in our zoom room to see it together. It was a lot of fun to hear the awe’s and ooooo’s and who had the layout somewhat figured out. Every year is different.
Crosswinds Mystery Quilt-

Every year is a new adventure inside the PW+ community. You don’t want to miss out!!
I am looking forward putting together the plans for 2026 – so far they are shaping up wonderfully!! Can’t wait to share what’s on the list, the designers joining us for workshops and everything else that happens inside for members.
