Gift baskets are kind of over used I think– but a great way to not make it like you ran to the store last minute to pick up the first gift basket you see, a little set of mug rugs holiday gift basket might be just the thing you need.
It’s a blend of the hand made and the store bought world + a little personalized. Could go a long way! I’m thinking that a large pile of these could be made at once and then you just make sure you keep the other ‘fillers’ on hand. Just throw a few of each and you are ready for your next holiday get together, house warming gift, or friendly gift swap.

The idea is to have fun. Make it personalized for the recipient. This is just a great option to make it a little hand made without going over the top and sewing up a lap sized quilt. Everything going along with the mug rugs can really be whatever.

Thanks for the mugrug idea. Too late for this year but in plenty of time for next! I’m looking forward as this year has been a bust as far as sewing was concerned.
I hope you have a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
