happy monday.
in the sewing room
I’ve been sewing up lately some new projects, that don’t have to do with anything! It’s been kind of nice to finish up a few things that are for others and haven’t been too related to the blog or patterns.
One has been the hexis for the Kingfisher quilt along…the other has been a smaller project- baby quilt.
Simple and quick. 16 quilt blocks. That’s it.
Because I simply can’t handle it though, it will probably become a pattern in the future. 🙂

today’s topic projects for back to school
I cannot even think about how quickly the summer has gone by! The months have been flying by…and if that isn’t enough to process, the next thing to sting is that school is right around the corner.
What?!
I understand that most of you are older and out of the world of school…..I’m closing in on that. The youngest is starting 9th this year. double what!?
While getting ready for the year (we have a mix of education going on over here- online school and homeschool) there are things that I don’t really like to buy. They are so much better sewn and last longer as well!
Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite things for school that you can totally sew up. They are pretty quick projects as well- and you can usually find the supplies in your sewing closet, so it won’t cost an arm and a leg.
or
maybe it will give you an excuse to run to the store real quick for something you might need…..whatever your case is, these are fun to sew!
Being a big fan of the stacked coins quilts and wristlets, I couldn’t resist mixing them together. This is a great way to use your little bits of ribbon and fabric pieces.
