Today I am sharing on Sew Mama Sew a tutorial for making the Teepee I Spy Quilt Block. I am sooo excited to be back there and showcasing something totally fun to make and show of your conversation style of fabric. If you'd like you can check out my bio over there….and filter through there posts {grab a drink and snack, you'll be there for awhile!}
This 10 1/2" X 12 1/2" quilt block is perfect for showing off those random pieces of fabric that you have been collecting for awhile, but seriously have no place in any of the projects you sew on!
Hop on over to their blog and you will find the construction instructions.
If you have more than enough fabric to make a whole book– then this next free quiet book tutorial is for you!
Using this quilt block — Instructions for the block are over on the their site, plus a few adjustments– you can sew up a TeePee Quiet Book!
Here are the following changes to make for your book. I didn't sew a different cover or back for the book. If you'd like to do that- you can.

This is so absolutely adorable! I had an idea for a teepee quilt (the whole quilt being one big subsection of a giant teepee), and now I’m sort of wanting to use your blocks as the front of the design and my original idea as the backing :o)
How do these wash up?

Sarah- that would be so cute! love the idea. Not sure how they would wash…the flaps might crinkle up. You might want to look into putting a stablizer in there when sewing them to give them a bit more security. I’d love to know if you end up doing it!
