A few highlights of the year are attending markets for the industry. They are closed to the public and for wholesale market and buying.
I have attended Quilt Market for years… and last year had an opportunity to attend H+H Americas. I had such a great time that I returned this year. It is my all time favorite show and have plans to not miss them in the future if I can help it!
Let’s take a look at what I saw, who I met up with and a few new products and beautiful displays.
They had a beautiful quilt hanging in the front of the show doors- Own Your Craft, with a large sewing machine. It was fabulous!
Sample It happened the evening before the show floor opened. You could shop from some of the booths that were on the floor. Buy direct. It was a lot of fun to see all the things and pick up a few goodies as well (see the video to see my goodie bag)
Meeting up with good friends. It is so much fun to reconnect with others whom I’ve known for years! Amy Barickman (original owner of Indygo Junkie) and Heather Valentine (the Sewing Loft)
Vanessa of Crafty Gemini – she taught a class on video. It was a fab class. It’s been years since we have connected in person again, so fun to chat for a quick minute!
Leila from Leila Gardunia, Deborah – Fish Museum, Heather, and me
A quick little sit down with Moda Fabrics – Annie, and Genny from the quilt block (she’s delightful!!), Stacey – Stacey Lee Creative, Heather, Michelle – Quilting Chemistry, and Erin- the Blanket Statement.
Me and Stacey – no picture by ourselves until the shuttle to the airport at the end of the show!
Products from H+H Americas – things I saw
Accuquilt has a new table that extends the automatic cutting machine – so your dies coming off can sit on something. It opens for storage as well. They had on display their dies for May as well.
Deon from Quiltscapes had a quilt that she brought – made using the half hexigon die. It’s a fabulous quilt!!
Renaissance Ribbons had a booth and were showing of their beautiful ribbons.
Madiera thread was showing off their new thread made with wood- Sensa Green. I’m excited to give it a try.
Prym has a new hand held machine for doing rivets, grommets and coming soon- snaps. It works so nice and is not hard on your hands!
Innova was showing off a long arm doing digital embroidery!! This was crazy to watch. It was going slowly so it wouldn’t shake the whole table, but the long arm was actually stitching out embroidery.
Trailhead Company has beautiful hand stitching thread and this year they were introducing gloss – which is a wax for your thread. It smelled sooooo good!! This is wonderful stuff!
They also were showing off a full library of their thread in a box set. It was beautiful in person!!
Tilda — always has beautiful fabric and display.
Muud – they had the most luscious and beautiful leather products. For scissors, crochet hooks, needle keepers and bags.
Riley Blake announced a new fabric line with Melissa Gilbert (Little house on the prairie) and it was so fun to see in person. She as there for a presentation that I attended. She is an incredible woman building a community of creative woman to connect.
Beverly – Flamingo Toes was there and had a booth – it was so cute! She has wonderful needle minders and cross stitch you should totally check out.
She had a display a fun chair featuring large X stitch on the cane area. Loved it!
Lee – May Chappell has a new book – Color Basics for makers. It’s a great book (she always has great books).
Traders Dice – fun game by Stitchin Tree
Paulines Quilters World has a great system for quilt as you go.
