The block today for the Round Robin is a Granny Squared Quilt Block by Elizabeth of Simple Simple and Company.
I have always been a fan of the granny square in crochet. I occasionally pick up the hooks– and this is a great go to crochet pattern.
With quilt blocks, this can become one of your go-to quilt blocks. Keep the center the same color for a consistancy –or use scrap fabric for a no rhyme or reason kind of block.
Either way this is a great one for using smaller fabric scraps.

What Elizabeth says about her block~
I really, really love the look of simple square quilting…..I just love it! And the granny square block is one of my favorites because it takes a simple square and let’s itself shine!!!
This is part of the Round Robin Quilt Along Series-– for previous blocks and for the schedule of designers….clickety click here.
- *One middle square–red in my case, 4 pink squares, 8 green squares, and 12 squares of Kona snow all cut to 3 1/2″ square
