Today’s Round Robin is up for another treat designer! She is Jenifer of 42Quilts. She is taking us back to mega piecing with this row of twinkling stars. Don’t get all crazy eyed with the patchwork background. It will sew up quick – you could even do quick strip piecing if you’d like.
The background might be a bit tricky color wise, just remember to sew those twinkling stars in a different color {or complimentary color} and they will pop. Just like the yellow stars pop against the blue background.

A little bit about Jenifer-
I began quilting in 1993 when on a whim I signed up for a beginning quiltmaking class. I was buying cross stitch supplies (that was my first crafy love!) at a quilt shop when I saw a flyer for a beginner’s class. The project was all done by hand, which was good because I didn’t own a machine at the time. I loved cross stitching, but I saw what the quilting girls were doing with all the colors and fabrics and I was a bit envious. I wanted to see what it was all about! From that first stitch I was hooked! You know that feeling you get when you’re quilting? Part exhilaration, part zen? I had that in spades!
I am the author of four quilt books on topics from traditional to modern and my work has been published in many other books and magazines.
What’s Jenifer up to lately?
She has a series– love new tips don’t you?

Photo Gallery~So we can all keep track of what we have sewn, there is a Flickr Photo Gallery set up for the Round Robin. This is a great place to post photos of your progress from fabric choice to final finish. We want to see it all! {this truly is the only way we can share since we don’t live by each other- think of it as our spot for show and tell} I check it often and comment, so please share!

Hi I want to quilt a large very padded quilt for my grandchild. I have a sewing machine but am new to this! So I need lots of help. My machine foot is very close to the base so will a walking foot work for very padded quilts? Thank you.
