Round Robin 5 Row 4 with Quilter Chic

Today the 4th row for the Round Robin has been designed by Cheryl of Quilter Chick. We have been friends for a few years now, joining up for online workshops, round robins and more. I love her fresh designs and her love for applique {only because i don't do too much of that!}  She is totally talented with the needle and has a few books now to prove it. 

I love the mix of embroidery we have this time around with the pieced and applique quilt blocks! The simple design –don't get too overwhelmed by the snowflake applique, is a great one. This is a great one to showcase a beautiful background fabric for the snowman plus to show off in the 'snowball' quilt blocks.

I’m a quiltmaker who loves color and fabric. I have published two books. The latest book is Quilt Batik, published byMartingale & Co. My first book is  Fresh and Fabulous Quilts, also with Martingale & Co. published in 2008. I was also published in the first “Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks by Today’s Top Designers” issue in 2009, as well as Volumes 3 and 4and 6. I also have a block in Volume 7, coming out this spring. I am a long-arm quilter, and have enjoyed all things quilting for many years.

I have a husband, Neil and 2 children, Natalie, 16 and Adrian, 21. I also have two silly, but cute kittens, Twinkie and Zinger.

In 2011, I rode my bike in the 100-mile Harmon’s Best Dam Bike Ride, which is a ride for MS. I’m looking forward to doing it again!

She has 4 quilts hanging out in a trunk show in Madison, WI for the month of March. They have been traveling around for a bit- Virginia to Washington….they get around!
