Today I am over on So Sew Easy with Deby sharing a tutorial – Hexagon Tree Skirt Tutorial. I am kind of the type that leaves these projects for the very last moment, but this year with Deby’s help we can all be ahead of the game!
This project starts with a 5″ Hexagon and is sewn in a log cabin quilt block style- to make your hexagon quilt blocks. Pretty simple and quick!
When sewn together the quilt blocks leave the center open so it can easily wrap around the Christmas Tree. You can choose to sew with each ring around the hexagon quilt blocks with the same fabric or mix it up and make it scrappy. Great way to showcase your Christmas pieces!

Here’s a little bit about what she has planned for us in November:
November will be jam-packed with sewing tips and projects and I’ll be delighted to be featuring some great bloggers who might be new to you.
The series will run Monday to Friday each week, with the weekends off for you to shop for fabric and sew your projects.
AND, not only that, but I’ve contacted all of the very best fabric shops, sewing suppliers, pattern makers and more to bring you prizes. Lots of lovely prizes. In fact, every day you get a guest post as part of the Seasonal Sewing Series, there will be a very kind sponsor featured that day and a giveaway.
Doesn’t this sound fun?! Are you totally pumped?
Turn up that Holiday music and let’s get sewing!

Thank you so much for being my guest today Becky. I only wish we had a tree so I could have an excuse to make one of these myself. Maybe I could make a tiny one for our little table-top tree, just using your hexagon template without adding the strips. Its a beautiful design and I’m thrilled to be featuring it on my site. Thank you.
