I thought it would be kind of fun to find some fishy projects to go along with Shark Week. It’s not really a normal topic of quilts, but they are still cute and fun.
It’s fun to let loose and do something a little out of the box. Plus, they would make great kid presents, don’t you think?
Or maybe you have someone a little bit older who still loves sharks? Yup- I have one of those too!

Thanks for the shark tutorial. I made a pencil case for grandsons tenth birthday, and he thought it was great, but the mechanical pencils I put inside were really cool!
I love the shark pencil pouch idea! Instead of using it as a pencil pouch I plan to eliminate the zipper and button eyes and stuff lightly as give as a squishy baby toy! The FINS will be made with fabric and kept thin and I will use stabilizer but not stuff. This will probably be a baby’s favorite parts for chewing as anything papery seems like a spot they are attracted to for chewing.
Thank You for a great tutorial! I love using my scraps!
