I won’t be home and around for Mother’s Day. I will be with family spending way too much money…on them of course and I got thinking is there anything out there that I would love to put on my list for mother’s day? We {the honey and I} are not big on exchanges. In fact most of the time it’s like…happy anniversary as we walk past each other. I am beginning to learn though that I can celebrate things on my own. I don’t have to have him hover over me and give me all my desires for the day {not that I wouldn’t mind that though}.
I am thinking that I need to be better prepared for times like these…and have some good ideas stored so when I see them I can pick them up for myself….and then act totally surprised when they arrive. Haven’t learned that quite yet, but I am excited when they show…that’s for sure.
My idea is– why wait for others to come up with a homemade mothers day gift — why don’t we pick out what we want? I want a photo because I have a spot right here- do it. I need some fresh flowers, so order some from the kids. See what I mean? Give others the list of your mothers day must haves and what you’d like -be specific and let them come up with the details.
I don’t know about you- but coming up with the idea is kind of the hardest part about mothers day {and gifting yourself}. I thought it would be fun to showcase a little bit of variety, thus the mega list of over 100. This is how I roll….so, Just in case you are needing some helpful hints, Here are a few places to find ideas and inspiration for your Mother’s Day celebrating.

Loved the jewelry idea. Unique and amazing.
I love the handprinted mason jar. My mom loves her mason jars. I gave her a handmade crochet purse for Mother’s Day tho.
