I was running a little bit behind with the Temperature Quilt – so it’s time to get some blocks done!
To help things go a little quicker, I prepped all the blocks I needed by writing the temperature down on the paper and precutting the strips for each piece.
I layered the pieces on top of each block paper to keep it organized until I was ready to sew.
Tips for Sewing the Temperature Quilt Blocks
Before cutting the strips, I made piles with the fabric so I knew which pile had the 60’s, the 50’s and so on. Easier to find the temperature that I needed instead of digging every time.
1- I laid out all the precut strips in order so they were easy to grab and put into place
2- I pre-folded the paper on the lines to I could lay out the strips knowing where the sewing lines were
3- I used a wood presser to flatten the seams in between each seam
4- I used the ruler to trim the block the right size
The finished block!
Watch as I sew up three blocks to catch up
