For a quick overview go here for 3 different methods for making the flying geese.

- Lay right sides together, the smaller square on top of the larger square

- Draw a line from corner to corner diagonally- on the wrong side

- Sew on both sides of the line 1/4″ seam

- Cut on the drawn line

- Iron

- Lay them together again- right sides facing with the darks opposite of each other

*DO NOT line up the center seam.  You will be lining up the OUTSIDE edges only

- Draw another line from corner to corner on the wrong side- the line will go right across that seam

- Sew on both sides of the line 1/4″ seam

- Cut on the drawn line

- Iron well

- Square up your flying geese to 3 1/2″ X 6 1/2″
