Back by popular demand! I’m holding another amazing craft retreat – this time with the theme of SPRING.
We’ll dive into two projects over two days, not to mention a few surprises as well!

DATES and TIMES: Thursday evening, May 4th from 6-8 pm, Friday and Saturday, May 5th and 6th 11 a.m.-4 pm. (demos are the first hour of each session) and 6-7pm evening gathering
This will be held via Zoom, and as always – you do not have be there – you will receive the links so you can watch at your leisure. These demos and projects are great for all skill levels.

Here are the two projects:
Stellar Star Hoop Quilt
Make your own hoop quilt to display on your wall, or finish it another way for a mug rug. Either way, you’ll be guided through the process of sewing the pattern, placing it in the hoop and if you want, exploring big quilting stitches to embellish or add to your quilt.
Sashiko Pincushion
You’ll learn how to make your beautiful stitches into a cute pincushion that features sides that open up for additional pin keeping.
About the Theme
This year since we are beginning the retreat on May 4th (May the 4th be with you) I thought it would be fun to do a little play on that theme.
“Stellar Quilter” is our theme.
This theme is the focus of our retreat kits, activities as well as our guest demo and ‘stellar’ trunk show.
No matter your experience in quilting – from beginner to advanced, you can enjoy the activities and become a ‘Stellar Quilter’.
Our quilt retreat is focused on YOU! We want you to come to relax and enjoy each other’s company, virtually. (this is a sleep in your own bed retreat). We will only have one scheduled trunk show and demo at this retreat – so you’ll be free to work on projects that you have in progress, or start a new one! We will do some make-and-take activities in the evenings and will provide kits for these.
Meet Our Guest:
Andi – True Blue Quilts
Andi Stanfield began quilting when her mother retired and opened a fabric store in 2004.
Since then, Andi purchased a longarm and began designing her own patterns.
She has published two books with her mother, exploring monochromatic color schemes and half-rectangle triangles.
During 2021 and 2022, Andi was a member of the Island Batik Ambassador program, creating many new, modern quilts with their beautiful fabrics.
Today, she juggles time in her quilting studio with her family and work as an instructional designer. Keep up with her quilt activities by watching the True Blue Quilts YouTube channel.
Andi will be sharing a trunk show and leading a discussion on Monochromatic Quilts (her book) Friday evening from 6-7:30pm

Retreat packet: You will receive an online packet that contains instructions, agenda, times, links, and all info needed. This will be housed on Google Drive / pdf and I will keep updating the document. You will receive a link to the online packet and you can keep checking it as the retreat dates approach for updates.

It is a ZOOM meeting. The location is your own personal sewing space
The retreat is Virtual. The replay for the demos will be available. I forgot to ask where but probably on the private FB page. It’s been great fun in the past. I’m looking forward to the one this year.

We meet in a zoom room and use a facebook group just for retreaters!
FYI: this is my second try. I just got my package for retreat. It is not like what is shown. I did not get the preprinted star nor anything to make thee pincushion. I only got a piece of practice fabric. Plus I got a Pounce stencil with the Pounce chalk. FYI: the little charm had a fight with the needle minder and lost its hook (?) I am very disappointed. Sorry I am not typing as much I did before
