It’s time to finish the 2025 Block of the Month – Hidden Gems in Patchworkers Plus! This has been a wonderful year of beautiful blocks and now is the time that all your efforts come together and you get a finished quilt.
This is one of my favorite things about designing patterns… to see them come together in the end. To see all the variations that you’ve chosen. You picked your fabric. You chose the placement of those setting blocks. You’ve been sewing away each month making progress. And now, they all come together to make something beautiful.
You can get more info here at Patchworkers Plus.

Our Mission: Finish What You Start
We know how satisfying it is to see a quilt come together—and actually get finished. That’s why this quilt along is designed to be achievable and fun. Every month, you’ll tackle just one step, making steady progress without feeling overwhelmed.
We also encourage you to use what you already have on hand. This is the perfect opportunity to pull out those fabrics you’ve been saving, mix in your favorite scraps, and watch them shine in this beautiful quilt.

Hidden Gems Sampler is more than just a quilt—it’s a journey we’ll share, stitch by stitch. Whether you’re a seasoned quilter or just starting out, you’ll love the mix of classic design, community connection, and the joy of creating something timeless together.

Finishing the Quilt
1. Cut or piece together your batting and a piece of quilt backing fabric.
2. Make a quilt sandwich with the backing, batting, and top.
3. Baste together with fusible batting, pins or basting spray.
3. Quilt as desired. A few of my favorite ways to quilt are Straight line quilting or cross hatch quilting. Use a walking foot on your sewing machine. Trim away the extra batting and backing.
4. Cut strips of fabric for the binding. Cut 2 1/2” tall (sometimes I use 2 1/4″) binding strips. Sew the binding strips together and bind using your favorite technique.
What’s coming in 2026
I’m prepping for the 2026 Block of the Month – it’s of course going to be a beautiful quilt! Every year the quilt is different. Different layouts. Different blocks. Maybe even a technique. No two block of the months are the same.
It’s such a joy to put these patterns together and to see them come to life with each of our members.
I’m rubbing my hands together – waiting to see the first finished top share in the gallery!!!
If you are interested in getting this pattern and joining us for next year and the next bom (reveal coming soon) you can join us here.
Our motto is – we help quilters like you, finish what you start, use what you have and make friendships with other quilters.
