This week we have Kristi from Quiet Play designing the next row of the Round Robin Winter Wonderland.

I’m Kristy from Quiet Play. I’m a stay at home mum to two little ones and I sew for sanity J  I have been quilting for a few years but it’s paper piecing that makes my quilty heart flutter. Over the past few months I have started designing my own paper pieced patterns and have them available on Craftsy. I am also hosting a paper pieced sewing themed BoM this year – you can find details on that on my blog (http://quietplay.blogspot.com.au). Living in Australia, we are just starting to head into the colder weather now. There’s not much of what I would consider a winter wonderland where I live, so I have drawn on memories from when I lived in the US and winter meant snow! I loved seeing the bright spots of red amongst the trees when the cardinals were about, so that is what I have designed for my section of the Winter Wonderland Round Robin. The pattern includes templates for two blocks (one for the bird and one for the branch). These are designed for you to mix and match to make up a row of happy little winter birds. Hope you enjoy making it!
