Each month we meet up with a variety of quilt and fabric designers, new book authors, notion developers and more! It’s fun to get to know them a little bit better. Let me introduce you to Robin Koeher of Nestlings by Robin.
How did you get your start in sewing?
My mother:) she sewed my prom dressed in HS as long as I cut them out.
Where do you find inspiration?
Every where! I know that is vague but so so true.
Do you have a favorite or a few favorite notions? What are they?
My thimbles, threads, and needles. Just bought the 60mm rotary cutter-Wow
Tell us about the project your currently working on.
I currently have 3: An applique’ commission, A magazine project, and a history challenge.
Have anything fun coming up or just happening that you’d like to share?
I am a 2023 Benartex Ambassador so we just did Christmas in July where I created 2 quick gift designs. I am also celebrating the 3rd birthday of my Well-Loved Ladies design.
What are your favorite parts of quilting?
The design process and all hand work.
Give us a quirky fact about yourself 🙂
My husband and I know A LOT about British shows especially Midsomer Murders. We go to sleep to it each night and refer to it as Midsomer Lullaby…LOL
What interests do you pursue when you’re not quilting?
Spend time with family! I am pretty much quilting All The Time!
