I met Jen last year during quilt market. In fact we had roomed together for a couple of days. She is one talented gal. She has a great eye for color and design.
In addition to designing patterns, she is also the founder of Sew South Retreat. A 2 day sewing retreat with classes, swaps, and more. I have heard awesome things about it!
For her quilt block she has chosen to share a ribbon star design.
What she says about her quilt block~
I love star blocks and tend to be drawn to clean lines and blocks with patterns that let the fabric shine. I also love using solids in my sewing and the bold colors of this block really stand out against the sharp points of the Ribbon Star. She is also showing you a quick way to sew half square triangles.
This is part of the Round Robin Quilt Along Series-– for previous blocks and for theschedule of designers.clickety click here.
Materials needed:
background fabric
3 colors for the block- center, then a color for each side.

That is some super-accurate cutting and stitching. I’m still not confident enough in my accuracy to tackle quilting, but when I do, this sort of pattern will be top of my list.
