About the project for the quilt group:
I wanted to create a project that incorporated a bit of quilting…. with a soft toy. You are limited only by your imagination for the quilting part of it, you can use any quilting pattern and techniques you like which means you can create something truly unique.

How did you get your start in sewing?
I really can’t remember the very first thing I sewed but my granny and mum sewed so I grew up with people around me sewing. At school, I hated the tedious things we were made to sew but I enjoyed sewing some unique clothes as a teenager. These days I’m really just a T-shirt and denims person and I’m not a quilter (well maybe a wanna-be one!) so I mostly just sew my softies.
What inspires you?
Animals… I am a sucker for zoos and aquariums!!! 😃
Do you have a favorite notion?
Is a wooden chopstick, used as a turning tool, considered a notion? If so, that’s it! I use one given to me by an old friend who used to design Teddy bear patterns. It’s great for smoothing seams from the ‘inside’ when you turn soft toy parts before stuffing.
Quirky Fun little thing about yourself:
I was a ‘tom boy’ as a child and preferred climbing trees to playing with dolls and soft toys, how things have changed! Lol 😃
What’s coming up for you that we can check out~
I am constantly trying to come up with new patterns so the best place to keep up to date with new releases would be my blog or my newsletter.
