Today we are going to be gathering a few of our previously sewn quilt blocks and putting them in a setting them in a triangle!
There is a border in between this triangle section and the inner area, but we will be assembling them next month. This month is all about getting them into the right sequence and shape.
4 star quilt blocks
8 – nine patch quilt blocks
Supplies you may need:
- Rotary cutter or a new sharp blade
- Cutting Mat
- Quilt Ruler
- Sewing Machine – this brother is my favorite!
- Iron – here or here
- Seam Ripper – not my favorite thing to do!
GARDEN WALK QUILT ALONG ASSIGNMENT:
1- Sew the cut background triangles to two sides of the nine patch quilt blocks (one corner both triangles will be touching)
2- Sew these large triangle sections – there are eight of them – to opposite sides of the star block
3- Sew the larger half square triangle to the top of the star to make one large triangle section. There will be 4 of these.
The pattern is included in the 2019 Patchwork Planner. You can find all the tracking, instructions and template within the planner.
Every month has the breakdown of the instructions and steps for that month. Both layouts are included in the planner as well.
