Welcome to the Friendship Quilt Along!

Many will be sharing their own techniques and tricks for making the blocks, so you will want to check in regularly to see what’s going on!
Be sure to follow us on Instagram (@AmandaHerringDesigns) where the most current information and images will be available June through August. They will also provide links to the social media accounts for all of our friends that are sewing along!

What’s fun about this is there are a few new techniques you can give a try. There is machine applique – using the button hole stitch and also fusible applique. Some might even choose raw edge applique.
The block that I am making and sharing in August, I’m giving a try again at needle turn (stitching first from behind- how to coming as well!). Should be fun to see how everyone treats their applique and what method they like to use.
There are templates available also- to help you get those perfect shapes for the applique pieces.
I hope you sew along– and can’t wait to see all the blocks and finished quilts at the end of the summer!
