OHIO STAR QUILT BLOCK
Tessa’s thoughts on the quilt block~
My favorite quilt blocks are stars. My left brain likes the symmetry and angles and my right brain enjoys the symbolism – they make me think of childhood wishes, imagination and adventure. I chose the Ohio Star because it is a very traditional block, but looks just as great today in modern fabrics and bold colors. I like the versatility, too as the overall look can be changed depending on the placement of colors and prints.
This is part of the Round Robin Quilt Along Series-– for previous blocks and for the schedule of designers.clickety click here.

Get to know Tessa a little better:
After 30+ years of garment sewing, I converted to quilting a couple of years ago after discovering the flourishing market of modern cotton fabrics. I began blogging in April of 2012 to share my quilting journey and connect with the inspirational on-line community. My style is hard to define, as I like both the bold, modern quilts and sweet, flowery vintage quilts. As long as it is has an element of “pretty”, I am all over it! I have spent the last 20 years as a stay at home mom of three kids who are now 12, 18 and 22. As my nest empties one by one, I am finding more time to devote to quilting and blogging and am enjoying every moment.
