March 2026 Starlit Meadow BOM – 4 Blocks This Month
March is a good one.
No curves. No tricky piecing. Just clean lines, straight seams, and a block that comes together in a way that feels steady and satisfying.
This month you’ll be sewing four blocks.
That’s enough to see progress, but not so much that it takes over your sewing time.

Can’t wait to see your Starlit Meadow sparkle!
A Closer Look at the March Block
This block is built around simple half-square triangles in the center, surrounded by a bold frame. The layout gives it a subtle spinning feel without getting complicated.
You’ve got:
- Half-square triangles creating movement in the middle
- Solid background squares to let the center breathe
- A strong inner frame (that yellow really shows up)
- Corner patches that tie everything together
It’s structured. Balanced. Straightforward.
And when you sew four of them, you’ll start to see how they play with each other across the quilt top.
Here’s another look at the block – in a different fabric layout.

A Few Helpful Tips Before You Sew
Trim your HSTs carefully.
Even being off just a little can throw off your frame. Square them up before moving on.
Lay out all four blocks first.
Double check the direction of your triangles. It’s very easy to flip one and not notice until the final seam.
Chain piece your units.
Since you’re making four, cut everything first, then sew in batches. All the HSTs. Then all the rows. It keeps things moving and saves time.
Press with a plan.
Think ahead so your seams nest when the rows come together. Four blocks means a lot of seams meeting in the center.
