Today we will be putting together a few rows & sashing or spacers.
They are simple– I would suggest pinning at the intersections to make sure your blocks line up properly.
Sashing Cutting~
9 Red 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 squares
36 6 1/2 X 2 1/2 background
Sashing Instructions:
1) Sew 6 1/2 X 2 1/2 on either side of a red 2 1/2 square
Repeat for a total of 9
Set aside the remainder background pieces- will be used next
Block construction:
1) Sew single block to both sides of the remainder sashing 6 1/2″ strips
2) Sew these sections from step 1 to the top and bottom of a sashing section
Repeat until you have 9 blocks
