It’s swap time for Patchworkers Plus members! There’s something extra fun about sewing a quilt block knowing it’s going to travel, land in another quilter’s hands, and come back to you as something completely new.
That’s exactly what makes a quilt block swap so special.
For Plus members, this swap is a chance to sew a simple, striking block, connect with other quilters in the community, and fast-track a project from “idea” to “ready to assemble.”
Plus Member Quilt Block Swap
It’s happening—we’re bringing back a quilt block swap for Patchworkers Plus, and we couldn’t be more excited. We haven’t done one since 2018, so this one feels extra special.

The Block
- Finished size: 12″
- Fabric pull:
- Sew with two colors
- Plus a white background
- Points: Choose the method you like best
- Flying Geese or
- Half Square Triangles
(No quilt police here—use the method that makes sense for you.)

How the Swap Works
- You’ll sew 12 identical blocks
- Mail them in by March 31
- We’ll mix, shuffle, and redistribute them
- You’ll receive a variety of blocks from other members back by mid-April
- Sign up inside the community area here.
This is a quicker turnaround than some swaps, and that’s intentional—it helps you get the blocks sewn, sent, and moving forward instead of sitting in a pile.

Important Details (Don’t Skip These)
- Please label your blocks with your name
- A sticky note or small tag is perfect
- This helps the person receiving your block know who made it
- Blocks will be divided up, so labeling really matters

The Fun Part (a.k.a. the Finish Line)
When your swapped blocks arrive, you won’t be left wondering what to do next. A quilt pattern designed specifically for this swap will drop, so you’ll be ready to turn that bundle of blocks into a finished quilt right away.
If you’ve missed the energy of sewing something together—then watching it come back to you transformed—this swap is for you.
This block swap is all about momentum—sew a block, send it off, and let the magic of the community do the rest. With a quick turnaround, a coordinated block design, and a quilt pattern ready when your blocks arrive, this is an easy way to stay engaged, sew with purpose, and end up with a quilt that truly reflects the Patchworkers Plus community.
We can’t wait to see the color combinations, the variety, and the finished quilts that come from this swap.

So glad you’re here! This project is part of our Patchworkers Plus membership, where we sew together all month long. Inside PW+, you’ll find the full Block of the Month pattern, step-by-step videos, and a friendly group of quilters cheering you on (and sewing right alongside you).

pst- there is something else that is extra fun… but it won’t be given out for a few more days.
