There’s something a little magical about deciding this is the one.
Not five projects.
Not “whatever I feel like.”
Just one quilt.
The one that’s been sitting. Waiting. Half-started… or not even started yet.
That’s exactly what Pick a Quilt Weekend inside Patchworkers Plus is all about.

So what is Pick a Quilt Weekend?
It’s a dedicated weekend where we all choose one project and spend a little intentional time making progress on it—together.
Not in a rigid, scheduled, “you must be here at this time” kind of way.
But in a drop in, sew a bit, say hi, share what you’re working on kind of way.
Inside our private Zoom room, you’ll find members:
- Cutting fabric at their own pace
- Sewing and chatting (or just quietly working alongside others)
- Popping in for a few minutes or staying longer
- Sharing updates as they go
It’s casual. Flexible. Real life-friendly.
And that’s exactly why it works.

Why “pick one quilt”?
Because having too many options is often what keeps us stuck.
You walk into your sewing space, look at all your projects, and think:
“I don’t even know where to start.”
So… you don’t.
This weekend removes that friction.
You’ve already chosen your project.
You already know what you’re working on.
Now all that’s left is to sit down and begin.
The part that makes it different
You could do this on your own.
But most people don’t.
What changes everything is the feeling that someone else is doing it too.
When you log in and see other quilters sewing…
When someone shares their progress…
When you post a quick update and get a few encouraging replies…
That little boost? It matters more than you think.
It turns:
- “I should work on that someday”
into - “I’ll just do a little right now”
And those small moments add up fast.
A little extra fun (because why not?)
Along the way, members can share their progress in the community for entries into a few fun prizes.
Nothing complicated. Nothing high-pressure.
Just a little extra nudge to join in and share what you’re working on.

What you’ll actually walk away with
Not necessarily a finished quilt (though hey, it happens sometimes).
But something just as valuable:
- Momentum on a project that felt stuck
- A renewed excitement to keep going
- A sense of connection with people who understand your hobby
- And a reminder that quilting doesn’t have to be done alone
Want to join us?
If you’ve been craving a bit more motivation—or just wish you had someone to sew “with”—this is a really easy way to step into that.
No big commitment.
No pressure to be perfect.
Just pick a quilt… and come sew with us.

What project will you be sewing?!
