We’re looking for a part-time Quilting Community & Content Support Lead to help us keep the Patchworkers Plus membership thriving, creative, and well organized.
This role is perfect for someone who loves quilting, enjoys sewing patterns ahead of time, and wants to support other makers by creating clear visuals and active engagement in the community.

About the Role
As our Quilting Community & Content Support Lead, you’ll work directly with members of the Patchworkers Plus membership to:
- Sew projects ahead of release to test clarity and flag areas that might confuse members.
- Take clear, well-lit photos of blocks, finished quilts, and step-by-step details that can be shared in the membership, social posts, and promotions.
- Help plan and maintain the member calendar and schedule so sew-ins, challenges, and workshops are easy for everyone to follow.
- Create and schedule simple image-based social content and support email promotions to our list (with guidance).
- Answer questions and support quilters in the community, encourage participation, and help keep things organized and friendly.
This role is not focused on general customer support or technical launch execution — it’s about sewing, visuals, community engagement, and helping quilters show up with confidence.
What You’ll Do
Sew-Ahead & Pattern Support
- Sew upcoming patterns before they go live
- Identify spots that might confuse quilters and suggest simple fixes
Visual Content Creation
- Take consistent, clear photos of projects and details
- Provide images that help members succeed and feel inspired
Community Engagement
- Be active inside the membership space
- Respond to member questions and encourage connection
- Help schedule and facilitate sew-days, chats, or workshops
Planning & Promotion Support
- Keep the member calendar accurate and clear
- Draft and schedule social posts and membership promotions with direction
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Have solid quilting experience (you sew, you know fabric, and you understand patterns)
- Enjoy sewing ahead and know what “makes sense” to someone following a pattern
- Take good photos with simple setups (natural light, tidy shots)
- Communicate warmly and clearly in writing
- Are organized and dependable with deadlines
- Love helping others and being part of a maker community
Customer support or launch execution is not required for this role — instead, you’ll focus on sewing, visuals, and community support.
Skills & Experience
This role works best if you have:
- Quilting experience and comfort with patterns
- A phone or camera for quality photos
- Basic written communication skills
- Familiarity with online communities (membership groups, forums, or social media)
Experience with email platforms or social scheduling tools is helpful but not required.
Time & Compensation
- Part-time contractor position
- Flexible schedule
- Hours and pay discussed based on experience and responsibilities
How to Apply
To apply, please fill out our interest form. We’ll ask about your quilting experience, your photo examples, and why this role matters to you.
We’re excited to find someone who loves quilting and community as much as we do.
