Smash Your Precut Stash Book Hop & Giveaway!

Smash Your Precut Stash Book Hop & Giveaway!

Today I am so excited to help spread the word about an awesome new book– Smash your precut stash book.  This is all about your stash.  More specifically –your precut stash.  I met the authors at quilt market last year….such a super talented pair!  They make an awesome team.  Their site is- Seams Like a Dream.

smashyourprecut

You know how it goes…. you can’t handle buying just little bits of fabric.  You want to have a little bit of each fabric from the line.  But, your wallet just can’t allow you.  What to do?  You end up picking up a few precuts.  Those things are fantastic!

They are a little bit of each of fabric in the line– no worries about whether you they match, co ordinate…. everything is perfect.

What I find though is that I have collected a few of them….with no real idea of what I’d like to do with them.  This is where the book comes in.  There are a lot of projects and patterns to help you out!

I played around with the ribbon or braided look, and a little bit of the flying geese too.

For the hop they sent around a few questions…..

1– the fabric color I have the most of— blue!  I love blue.  Any shade, color, print.  When shopping for fabric I am drawn to the blue tones, even though I have more than enough!

2- favorite precut— I love charm packs.  They are big enough to do some fun with and big enough to show off the print if you choose to leave the square big.

3- favorite pattern in the book– It’s a toss up between the Down the Garden Path showing off a ribbon style piecing and My Favorite Fat Quarter Table Runner– featuring flying geese.  Both of these I have experimented with

You can use them alone in a small project or keep adding to them until you have a king-size quilt! I guess by now you know I really love working with my Charm Squares!
