Patchwork Posse is excited to share another talented designers with you. This time it’s Debi of Pieces Squared. She will be sharing her talent with plushie and teddy bear stitching! She will be giving us some hints and tips and maybe a few new teddy bears and plushie patterns we can give it a try sewing!
I started making toy animals quite by accident. I had been making porcelain dolls (another one of my passions). The more I learned and completed, I started wanting more. The other ladies in my class were making little toys for their dolls. I found my first pattern and started making teddy bears. I enjoyed making soft toys so much, I think I sort of got addicted.
After several teddy bears, I decided to have a go at designing them. I never looked back. I have designed something new to roll out for you. I have made several bears since “Adam” and other soft toys as well. I have been making quilts since I was a lot younger, taking a several year break getting back into them about five years ago. I love to knit or quilt little blankets for my teddy bears to sit on.
Debi has a great collection of teddy bears she has designed in the sewn:
