Border Adjustments

i was having issues with the border– not enough fabric….searched the stash, couldn't find enough scraps of the piece {did find a 11" one} but alas– not long enough.

I decided…hey- I have enough to use it in the first border if i stick colored blocks in the corners.

So— here it is:

Sprockets– the finished quilt top:

Made using a jelly roll + a bit of background {at least i had enough of that!}.  Super fun to make—and not too difficult.

The pattern will be in the next issue of The Sewing Cottage Magazine– coming out the end of this month.  Last month was all about girls— This month. Boys!

  1. I think it’s great that you figured out that little adjustment so you could finish the top. Glad to hear it will be in next month’s magazine. I’ve come to realize that I don’t make enough boy projects.

figuring it out isn’t that hard— it’s just that i shouldn’t have had to do the adjustment if i knew what i was doing! lol
