 Girls- after making that elephant and having to read and re-read the instructions a few times I thought that I would share just a quick little tutorial on how she makes it. {wee wonderfuls} I love her patterns and own a few…but to tell you the truth I am a photo person. She paints her quilts girls– not piece! I love that! Check out her goods here. Mary Jo’s blog and say a ‘hello’. Anyways— since she gave us the labels– we are supposed to print them off and put them on the back of our quilts. What to do next? Become a Member~~ Contact the Posse Boss~~ Make something New~~  While at my little sewing day with my girl friends, Janis was working on a little project and I just had to share! It is a perfect -sit in the shade- project. Janis saw it made with a heart shaped straw wreath, but all that was found was the circle one.—- love either one. What to do next? Become a Member~~ Contact the Posse Boss~~ Make something New~~  So you go on a retreat and start packing up all your stuff. We have a lot of things to bring don’t we girls? You betcha! Now, the purpose of a retreat is…to get some sewing done without distractions. Right? Who wants to be distracted by getting up and down from your chair to get in line at the pressing station? Not me! So, I bring along this nice compact mini iron. But, guess what it is now time to go and we have sewn until the girl in charge is literally kicking us out {woops there goes all the power} so we must quickly stuff everything back into where it belongs and be on our way. What about that HOT mini iron? Will it catch my just finished quilt top on fire? Will it melt to the sewing machine cable? Will it burn the floor mat in the car? {not that i’m speaking from experience}. So we MUST have a little bag to stuff that mini iron in as we are running out the door. What to do next? Become a Member~~ Contact the Posse Boss~~ Make something New~~  Let’s talk about what to do with your patterns after you have figured out the design, templates and measurements, sewing steps and instructions. What to do next? Become a Member~~ Contact the Posse Boss~~ Make something New~~ So, you have your notes, you have your supplies ready…but you have no real measurements or patterns! Let’s work on that today shall we? Get yourself a little pile of copy paper. I do prefer using the plain paper. I can make notes and not get distracted or confused at what is printed on the paper. You will also need a pencil + eraser. Use a light hand when drawing…it is easier to erase. This is where you want to answer a few of those size questions— What size do I want for my final project? What is this being used for? Does it need to be longer than my hand {hot pad}…etc. Read your notes on what your ideas are to get this figured out. How about a quick tutorial on how to make the spring posies quilt block. It is a simple and easy pattern for beginners. Give it try and maybe if enough of us make one we will speed the snow away and bring the sunshine back! Get stitching girls— I am tired of winter weather.
