3 D Quilt Block – Quick as a Fox Quilt Along
This week the block for the Quilt Along is a 3-d block!
This is part of the 9 quilt block- Quilt Along on The Sewing Loft– Quick as a Fox. {click link to get the sewing instructions for the 3-D Quilt Block.} Learn a new technique with each block sewn.
3-d quilt blocks use a little bit more fabric {ok. fine. twice as much for those parts that are 3d} but they are so fun to sew! The finished block will have little 'pockets' or tucks. I can tell you that the quilter isn't especially happy to get these kind of blocks because there is a lot of dodging during quilting to do!
Did you know there is a photo gallery for the Quilt Along?
If you are sewing along with me- post your progress and wonderful blocks here:

Have you ever sewn a 3-D Quilt Block before? What quilt block was it?

When I had my longarm business, I didn’t really mind them, since I was always at the front of the machine anyway. It was easy enough to work around them. If you work from the back with pantographs, it would be a pain, I think. That’s a great block for the technique.
