I finally gave a quilt away

This last week i was invited to a work baby shower {i am a real estate agent- want to buy a home? call me} and I thought- there has got to be a quilt around here I can part with…… um. sure.

How about the Apple Quilt?!  I received this last year as a present from my Secret Quilting Sister in a quilt group— the kit!  Including fabric + pattern.  I tweaked the pattern just a little to make it a bit bigger….. the real pattern has it as a wall hanging.  It ended up the perfect baby snuggly size.

I did some pretty basic quilting on it –quick and done!  As a bonus, i dug through a strip pile and found leftover white binding from another quilt and used it right up! 

I used batting that is a bit more puffier too- perfect use of leftovers again, and the backing is a big yellow/white check. 

She loved the present— and i felt pretty good giving a quilt away.  Finally.
