Today for Trunk Show Tuesday we are joined by Viv of Hen's Teeth!

I love this gals goods. She is totally talented in a way that I need more practice in– machine or thread drawing. Meaning that instead of using needle and thread and your fingers to do the stitches, she uses her sewing machine. I love the funky, free look of it all and gosh, I sure wish I did it like she does! More practice is what I need I tell you! I think what I am most facinated about Viv is her quirky titles on the blog posts. I don't get them…but I sure love them! They are unpredictable. Love that.

Here is a bit more about Viv:
As rare as Hen's Teeth. Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Viv and I live smack bang in the middle of England. Here you will find me chattering about places visited. Wonderful things that inspire, but mostly about my handmade pieces. All my work is designed by myself and made using the collection of vintage fabrics from Europe and USA, haberdashery and paper ephemera, that I have personally collected from many sources, over the years. I am madly, truly, deeply, obsessed with my work! My mind rarely wanders from thoughts of drawing, designing, how I can collate imagery with the tactile and ultimately make into a decoratively desirable… handbag, clutch purse, needlecase, brooch or mixed media collage. All finished with hand embroidery and buttons, lots of them. I do not have a core collection, I work as inspiration takes me and I am inspired constantly by the beautiful world that surrounds me.
Shall we get to her trunk show?
Because of my jealosy of the thread drawing, I have chosed to show off– her thread drawing work:

I like the rustic look. It’s nice to see things being made like our ancestors used to. Perfect is nice but rustic and wonky can be just as beautiful.
