Whoa Nelly! The antique show was in town

What's a girl to do when something comes to town?  Of course, attend it. :)   This I did to support my F.A.A. group.  Welcome members–

Grab the Button!!!!

It took 3 1/2 hours of walking, shuffling, digging through the many boxes of goodies to find the perfect things to add to my collection.  There was sooo much to see!  My eye was on spot for linens, quilts, buttons and dolls.  I ended up with something from each category except for doll.  They were out of my league and to tell you the truth, they weren't ones I was looking for…so really no loss there.

The first purchase was a bunch of sewing bobbins– all teal, but just perfect for a party favor.

To add to the bundle of bobbins, I got a bundle of scissors. {pink. oh yeah.}

MMMM  buttons—  A whole half of a pickle jar!  {I have to split it with my mom. the hazards of shopping together}

10 doilies to use on a composition book covers + a cute little hotpad:

After perusing the piles of quilts, I ended up with one that isn't hand done, no hand quilting, and isn't anything extra special…but just right for me. Ending up as a cutter quilt– so many cute things will end up from this baby!

And, hey I like coo-ky things. You know that all ready don't you?  So I picked up this little birdie-  It is sitting on a music box and works!  when you play the music the bird moves back and forth in a jerky motion. Cute. Love it.

Do you mind if I share the prices?  i got the quilt for $29, the button jug for $10 oh. yeah. I was running to the car afraid I would get arrested for stealing!

Now, just to tease you with the goodies that you missed {so did I } here is a little show for you–

I love the sign— Treasures $3.00

It's your turn to share.

If you don't have a link to a blog– never fear!  Leave a comment and let us all know.  We are only here to support, not judge….. maybe be jealous, but you know.  That's what friends are for.

More F.A.A. meetings here.

  • Thank you for all the photos. It looks like it was wonderful!!! You did get some great bargins!!!!! Way to go, thanks for sharing. I have a collection of bobbins–but no teal ones. I also have a book about them as I used to collect them.

    I was so bummed I totally forgot about that antique show, it was the one at the Weber county fairgrounds right?
    Oh well, I wouldn’t have had any money to spend anyways :)
    You found some fun things, I love the buttons and the hotpad, I may have to make an attempt to make my own birdcage hotpad :)
