Saturday was of course garage sale day— oh, i do love the day…..
I was lucky and hit one with a bit of fabric…..I was able to get a nice little 9 yard stash {all fat quarters} of 30's prints + other goodies for a total of $10!! I know, can you believe? Take a look— it most definitly is enough to maybe get a quilt out of……. I need to dream one up for the group for next year's block of the month….any ideas?
+ a pile of christmas fabric 10X10 pieces….. perfect for the christmas quilts coming up
how about 3 more yards in some good filler fabrics….
And, how could i ever not pass up an opportunity to add to the monstrous collection of ric-rac and buttons?
oh, but of course.
and since that collection got a bit added I could never neglect the ruffle edging…oh, no. never!
No, I didn't get this next goodie at the garage sale– that would have totally rocked though–
I got it at joannes…..couldn't resist. used coupon. was cheap. love it.
and just for random family doings:
On Thursday night we {me, the kids + 1 friend} went to the Secretariet…….thanks blogher! Great movie…the kids loved it and I did too. Wonderful story, beautiful horses, just plain ol great. Nothing like a good movie that doesn't have to have tons of special effects, crazy music and un-believable stunts. This one had none of that….but it was good. When it shows up in the movies— go take a peek……

Wow! You really scored on some cute fabric! And I love it when I find vintage seam binding and ric rac. Even the packaging in itself is enough for me!
i know….sometimes i get things just for the packaging….yay!!
Your Mom is my cousin (so technically so are you!) she told me about you this summer when we met for lunch. I so enjoy reading your blog and seeing the creative things you do! You are one awesome lady and I’m so happy to get to know you thru modern technology!
