  • What a great giveaway! My favorite sewing book is Sew Cute!

    (I voted).

  • Oooh, Smappy baby is sooo cute! My current favourite sewing book is Cath Kidston's “Sew!” I voted on your survey and I am from Melbourne, Australia. :) Deb

  • My mother says our baby needs dolls to teach her compassion and caring. I say “no” because dolls are creepy. This absolutely adorable doll would take care of all our needs!!! And my sewing pet peeve is the fact that I never have the time or energy to DO it. :(

  • Alissa

I just lost 1/2 hour looking through your shop! How cute! Have voted in your poll, and here are my answers…my favourite book is Weekend Sewing by Heather Ross, because it inspired me to start sewing and now I'm hooked! I'm from Western Australia, and my pet peeve is that my skill level does not equal my minds' 'I can do that' level ROFL! But luckily I have a fantastic grandmother in law and a close friend to attempt things that scare me too much!

  • my favourite book of the moment is Sewing Clothes Kids Love to Wear
I'm from Australia and my peeve would be people that insist on lots of rules and are not willing to think outside the square or see that there are no mistakes in sewing only opportunities

  • Okay so awesome giveaway. I voted for Material Obsession as I have just got a copy! My favourite sewing book – seriously how can I pick???? I am a sewer of clothes, crafts and some quilting so I go all over the place. I think today I will pick 49 and 1/2 skirts as that's what I looked at today. I'm from Christchurch NZ, beautiful city and very inspiring place to live. My pet peeve is having to mend things I would far rather make a whole new top than sew up a hole in the underarm. I am going to love being inspired by your blog and I HOPE I win!

  • i am from NZ but live in vienna.
i don't really use sewing books as there is so much great info on-line, plus i like to learn by experimenting and making mistakes!

What a cool site. I love sewing forum sites. I always get so much out of them. My pet peeve for sewing is when my carefully cut out pieces just don't line up right after they have been sewn together. I hate when one ends up bigger than the other. It shouldn't do that when you are using a pattern right?!! My fav. sewing book is “fabric savvy” by Sandra Betzina. It's like the encyclopedia for fabric.

  • Hi! I love One Yard Wonders right now. I'm from Lansing Mi and I hate hate hate washing my fabrics before using them….off to vote. Thank you for the chance to win such a great prize

  • sharon

Thanks for this generous chance, I'm Antonella from Italy…hugs! ;o)

  • My favourite sewing book (right now anyway) is Rashida Coleman-Hale's “I Love Patchwork”! I hail from Toronto, Ontario Canada, and my sewing pet peeve right now is having to pull out quilting (I just had to pull it all out on two of my Quilt Market quilts and it is very frustrating)!

  • JJ

Fun giveaway! I love both books by Amanda Soule because I am a beginner and her stuff is beginner friendly. Hopefully you'll be sending that sweet smappy to me in San Diego!

  • How absolutely adorable! I am from Florida, and my favorite quilting book is 40 Fabulous Quick Cut Quilts. Thanks for entering me :-)

  • My fave sewing book is about quilting (techniques)!!!!, I love to read those because we almost can't get them here where I live, I'm trying to get a bunch, just in case someday I'd forget about something, lol, and also to learn new things. I'm from Costa Rica, and May 21st is my birthday :D , yay for me, really, lol

  • Sewing Green by Betz White. I haven't done much with the book yet, but I love it. I am from Northern California and I hate when my sewing machine seems to get mad at me and just quit working. I'm sure it needs some kind of maintenence, or just for me to quit procrastinating so much, but still…

    atchisonsteph@gmail.com

  • Jenn

love your giveaways. the doll with baby would be especially helpful in explaining the new baby that is coming this fall to my son. and the patchwork posse is intriguing. i've bookmarked your site to return and spend more time exploring – especially your great tutorials. i think my biggest pet peeve would be when i'm working out a new pattern and i just seem to have everything right and then some disaster happens and i get pulled away before i even have the chance to write anything down so that when i go back to the project i have to start all over again – so frustrating. thanks for the chance to win.

  • Jennifer S

How cute! I love Bend the Rules

  • mab

Smappy is adorable! My girls may want to play with her, but I may keep her for myself. Because the best reason to have kids is to play with their toys…. The book I return to more than any other is Last-Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts by Joelle Hoverson. I'm from Texas, but live in New Orleans, and my biggest sewing pet peeve is trimming threads. They only seem to multiply!!!
Thanks for the chance to enter!

  • T.J.

I voted on the side bar for Focus Friday next month, as you requested!

I hope YOU have a great day!
