I don't have a book, I learn from blogs with tutorials, videos, etc. My pet peeve is a broken needle on the machine, always when I really need to get something done.thanks for the giveaways from Manitoba Canada

  • Hi, I'm from Ontario, Canada. My favorite new sewing book is the Encyclopedia of Sewing, by Martha Stewart. Love it. This is a great giveaway. Thanks for the chance to win.

I am reading Bend the Rules with Fabric, after loving Bend the Rules Sewing! I am from Iowa! Thanks for a chance to win!

  • Sara

I am reading the Creative Family right now, and it's not a sewing book, but she talks about simple sewing projects such as embrodery on burlap at the age of 3. I love that!

I'm small town Washington state on the coast.

Wow what a great giveaway, hope I can get this right!
    Ok I have voted :)
My fav book is Material Obsession, I just got it last week and have been drooling over it ever since!
I am from Melbourne in Australia.
My pet peeve is when I run over a pin with my sewing machine (yes I know I should pull them out before I get to them…).
    Thanks!

  • I'm from Alberta, Canada and I like One Yard Wonders.

  • What a great giveaway! The baby is super cute. I am from Calgary Alberta in Canada and right now my favourite sewing book is a toss up between Martha Stewart's Encyclopedia of Sewing and Crafts or Denyse Schmidt Quilts.

  • Carrie

Very cute! I'm fairly new to sewing so I don't have a favorite book…yet! And I'm from Texas!

  • What a cute little doll!
As for sewing books, I love Ruth McDowell's. I dream of going to one of her workshops some day.
    I am from Austin Texas.
And sewing pet peeve? I hate drawing the diagonal line on squares to make half-square triangles. I know it would make for a better end result to square them up, but I usually don't bother and end up with slightly crooked lines!

  • I'm from Florida, my favorite book is probably Heather Ross's Weekend Sewing or maybe Seams to Me by Anna Maria Horner. Pet peeve??? Hmm. Probably trying to keep my three babies out of my sewing stuff. :) Don't want any pricked fingers or cut hair!

I'm just learning to quilt. And have basic sewing skills. So ANY of the many beautiful sewing books, I just love going through the pages for inspiration and for direction. I can spend my days dreaming and inspiring. Thanks from Oregon.
