Wooly Purple Cat- Focus Friday

Apparently this book has been on my favorite list for awhile now.  The first thing I made from the book was—– Wooly Purple Cat {which i sold in my shop}.   I sold it back in December 2007, and it was there for a bit of time…..so it has been awhile. yikes! times flies when you sew all the time.

I love this pattern.  It really makes up pretty simple and is a great pattern for beginners.  The belly and a tail are great touches.  {I added the mouse friend, and choker flower. That is not in her book}  Purple Wooly Cat is made with a wool sweater. Love the colors don't you?

She has wonderful instructions and the book is filled with beautiful pictures. It is also very diverse {which I love} It is not filled with a bunch of quilts….she tosses in aprons, postcards, hotpads, patchwork crafts, and little stuffed cats.  I just love the combination and she does all of them in her modern way. Just perfect.  I haven't made any quilts from this book…..so maybe i will use it more than just the one cat.  Can't wait.
